As the title stated does the "batman: under the red hood" movie bring justice to the "Starlin,Aparo,Decarlo: batman: a Death in the family" were readers of the dark knight had a choice where they could call a hotline and either make a judgment of either having the joker kill Bruce Wayne/batman’s young ward Jason Todd/robin for vengeance, or having the joker fail at what he sought out to do. After much debate and countless votes readers chose to have the joker have the last laugh in the story. The poll was 5343 to 5271, after they where tallied it was said that a single person in California programmed his computer to dial the hotline number every 90 seconds to vote for the boy wonder to die. Even though it was tried to keep the test fair evidence showed it was less than that. But the writers went ahead with the death anyway, after the fact they received quite a bit of negative mail regarding the death of Jason. Later on there where many story arcs dealing with batman feeling the guilt, and anguish of failing the young boy wonder.
Years went by and then with the release of "Batman: under the red hood" DC Comics released a 6 part mini-series Red Hood: The Lost Days, which dealt with years after the death of Jason where he squawered the globe training before his return to Gotham city. "Under the red hood dealt with after the fact of Jason’s death and fans got a glimpse on how Rā's al Ghūl brought young Jason back to life. Since it was an unnatural for Jason to be brought back to life he was scarred both mentally and physically, a reminder of what the joker did. It drove him mad and deranged, he had it in his head that the only way to stop crime is to control it. That is what one thought at first, but what was really going on was Jason wanted to know from batman himself why on earth he did not end the jokers’ life. Jason didn’t understand that he could not go down that path that he may never come back from, he feared that once he tasted blood it would drive him over the edge.
